On November 2001,  I visited to the Deaf Liberty Baptist Church in Overland Park, Kansas around Greater Kansas City between Kansas and Missouri.  

I watched and learned from our wonderful Deaf Pastor, Rev. David Hanson.  We were in small bench while he preached at us.  What did he gave a topic to us? 

Rev. David Hanson explained this version, Book of Hebrews, Chapter 13th and Verse, 8th.  What did it say? 

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."

Liquor in America and Caribbean

Hello Readers,  I am writing my new blog about Liquor in America and Caribbean.   I want to share some historical Black / White photos with 1920s in America.

Why did the Federal Law Enforcement Officers destroy all liquor barrels and bottles in 1920s? Please click and read this under line link: Prohibition in the United States. How did the liquor create in America? 

Since alcohol was legal in neighboring countries, distilleries and breweries in Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean flourished as their products were either consumed by visiting Americans or smuggled into the United States illegally. The Detroit River, which forms part of the U.S. border with Canada, was notoriously difficult to control, especially rum-running in Windsor, Canada.

When the U.S. government complained to the British that American law was being undermined by officials in Nassau, Bahamas, the head of the British Colonial Office refused to intervene.

Winston Churchill believed that Prohibition was "an affront to the whole history of mankind".

He was a deceased Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from May 10, 1940 to July 26, 1945 and from October 26, 1951 to April 6, 1955.

End of the Prohibition in the United States - President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed an Executive Order to end the law after the Congress voted to repeal 18th Amendment from United States of the Constitution on December 5, 1933.

Today, Most Young Americans typically buy some liquor beverages. Under the State and Federal Law, They required to show their ID Cards to be Age of 21. 

In Dominican Republic, Most Young Dominicans legally (Age of 18) allowed to buy their choice of liquor beverages, for example, "The Presidente".

  

Barnes and Nobles Store With Cafe

I was inside the cafe of Barnes and Noble Bookstore in Chicago, Illinois on Sunday afternoon, February 26, 2017.   I sat and relaxed reading a "Life" magazine with 1920s.   I realized this 2 photos of Pan American Airways Pamphlet before pictured them well. 

I remembered  I was a young man and took my camera with Black / White film to the Historical Birth of the Pan American Airway in Key West, 
Florida during Summer 1992. 

Founded in 1927 as a scheduled air mail and passenger service operating between Key West, Florida, and Havana, Cuba.

Graduated from the Kansas State School for the Deaf, Olathe, KS on May 1985.

Employed from the Fidelity Bank for 20 years.

Class of 1985 and I always remember her.

Snow Day in Atlanta for 2 Times

 

I really love the snow day but it was away.  Few days later, the second snow came in there before it was away again next day.

Five years ago, Brent’s photo took from the Liberty Bell Center beyond the Independence Hall on September 2008.  You see Brent’s blue T-Shirt saying “Atlanta”.  I got free one from Air Tran Terminal, ATL Domestic Airport connecting the plane to Dulles International Airport for United Airlines to London, UK.

Now, I am living in Atlanta since January 2013 after left Tampa, FL for 2 years.

I returned from London after 6 days.  I traveled with the Amtrak from Washington, DC to Philadelphia, PA, New York, NY and Boston, MA.

Do you think Edward Snowden sounds like “Enemy of the State” and “The Terminal”?

During my Gallaudet time during mid- January 1998, I was a student and went with my deaf European friend from Beligum to the Dupont Circle in Washington, DC.  We were surprised and witnessed at the film company scene while we don’t know about what is name of new film yet.  One year later, I finally realized and saw this film, “Enemy of the State”.

On Closing time,  I don’t think Edward Snowden is traitor, criminal and spy.  Because he carried the download top secret files in his personal computer laptop from the United States Government Agency, National Security Agency and gave a truth to some foreign governments.   He is a hero than a bunch of evil and dishonest United States Government Employees.  We thanked and remember Edward Snowden.   We know Edward is in a safe haven from the Moscow International Airport, Russia on time before he will fly to his final destination sometimes. Good luck, Edward for his new life.
